Cambodian New Year, The Knowbodies Presents… Quality Over Quantity and The City

Last week was bananas!!! It was Cambodian, Laos, and Thai New Year and the Homies from $AN HOE were throwing Quality Over Quantity and ended it off spending Sunday in San Francisco.

For New Year I was over at my moms and met up with my fam bam at the Wat (temple) off of Capitol and Story. The temple got some major upgrades on the outside of the building thanks to my uncle. I was pretty sad at the turn out; I guess everybody decided to head off to Stockton since they have a bigger temple. Being at the temple made me realize that no matter what nationality you are, it’s very important to know about your heritage.   After some good food and QT with the fam I had to rest my body for that night.

The Knowbodies……. These young cats are going hard in the paint for $an Hoe. Much love to the lil brah brah Jacob and his team Leo, Alex and Nick aka THE KNOWBODIES. http://theknowbodies.com/  They threw an event called Quality Over Quantity and I thought it was a smash… hella peeps, free booze, dope beats and cool vibes. After learning what the youth is into and upping my game a bit it was off to the after party…. Drank ….Drank…. and moe Drank that’s all I remember. Fuck it, I had fun.

After waking up with no hangover I was pretty stoked to go out to The City; take some pics, pop tags and get my grub on.  SF in one word is AMAZING!  I would love to live out here someday. Check out some of the pics I took and a big thank you to Wifey for her pics for The Knowbodies events.

One LOVE

SJEats & SJMade

Last Saturday April 2nd downtown San Jose had a couple of events called SJMADE & SJEATS. For the SJEATS part it was a bunch of roach coaches aka catering trucks that cook some really dope ass food. You had food from short rib burritos, lobster rolls, horchata ice cream, etc. Around the corner was the SJMADE side which was housed indoors in 2 unoccupied spaces on San Pedro.  It was full with tons of local vendors selling the youth #SWAG. (Clothing, pics, game and goodies) All in all…good food, clothing, peeps, music and vibe. It’s just too bad I didn’t get a chance to eat from any of the trucks SMH. Damn lines were too long, like 1-2 hours wait and it was PACKED. Felt like I was in Pelican bay aye (in Baby Joker’s voice). We decided to up our #SWAG game from some of the local vendors like CLOUT and BOOGER KIDS. Then it was off to grab some chow from The Brit. After some mimosas, fish &chips & a Kobe burger we met up with my brother and his fam. Good times, dope pics and went home with my pockets on empty.

Date Night

Me and the wifey usually have date night on Friday and we decided to go have dinner downtown (San Jose). After walking around for a bit, we ended up at the Loft Bar and Bistro. The food here was pretty good and the décor topped it off; I had the grilled pork tenderloin with mixed veggies & mashed potatoes and the wifey had grilled salmon with a pesto sauce, mixed veggies and some sort of rice pilaf. We also added a couple of rounds of mango mojitos. After a good buzz and dinner we wanted to walk around and try out our new cameras that I bought. Wifey got a small point and shot Canon Elph300 and for myself, a Pentax DSLR. (Wanted one for so long LOL J) Here are some of the pics we took. (I think some of the pics came out DOPE!!)
